Collection: Sourdough Tool & Bakeware Maintenance

Keep your sourdough tools clean, conditioned, and ready for the next bake.

Proper maintenance extends the life of your banneton, wooden handles, and starter jar significantly. A banneton that is dried and brushed correctly after every bake will last for years. A wooden handle conditioned occasionally with food-safe oil won't dry out or crack. Small habits make a big difference.

What you will find in this collection

  • Banneton Cleaning Brush
Essential after every bake. Removes dried flour from every groove of your rattan banneton without using water. Never wash your banneton — brush it instead, let it dry, and store it in a dry place with good airflow.
  • Cloth Liner
Spare or replacement liner for your banneton. No flour dusting needed when using the liner. Machine washable, air dry only. Fits both our round and oval 25cm bannetons.
  • Mason Jar Lid and Band Set
Replacement lid and screw band for standard wide mouth mason jars. Fits our 500ml Sourdough Starter Jar. Useful to have a spare on hand.
  • Coconut Fractionated Oil
Certified organic, odourless, food-safe MCT oil for conditioning wooden handles, bamboo scoops, and utensils. Apply monthly with a cloth. Prevents drying and cracking.
  • Razor Blades — Pack of 10
Replacement blades for your bread scoring lame. Replace every 2–3 loaves for clean, precise scores. A dull blade tears dough rather than cutting it.
